7 best post bridge alternatives in 2026
By Alex, Founder, KreatorMesh · Published 5 October 2026
post bridge is a good cross-poster: you write a post once and it goes to ten platforms, with unlimited posts, an API and an MCP server for AI assistants. People look for an alternative for one of three reasons. The first is price — the 15-account plan is now $39 a month, up from $29 when we checked in September. The second is wanting a free plan with room to work in. The third is wanting more than distribution: help writing the posts, or knowing which ones worked. Below are seven tools, each placed against one of those reasons, with prices read from the vendors’ own pages on 5 October 2026. One of them is ours, and its entry says so.
TL;DR
- Closest swap, for less: SocialRobot — $29 a month for 20 accounts with X included, and the API and MCP server on every plan.
- Free: Buffer (3 channels) or Publer (3 accounts, no X). Metricool’s free plan has analytics but excludes LinkedIn and X.
- Open source, or run it yourself: Postiz — free to self-host; hosted from $29 a month for 5 channels, with MCP, CLI and API on every plan.
- AI-made content at volume: Blotato — $29 a month for 20 accounts and 1,250 AI credits.
- Short-form video, and knowing what works: KreatorMesh — $29 for 15 accounts against post bridge’s $39, with drafting and hook testing built in. No free plan.
- Staying put: post bridge is still the simplest of the lot. It now costs $39 for 15 accounts and $99 for 99.

The 7 tools, in detail
1. Buffer
buffer.com
- What stands out
- The free plan is real: three channels, ten queued posts each, no card. The paid plans add unlimited scheduled posts per channel, and Buffer has an MCP server, so an AI assistant can schedule through it the way it can through post bridge.
- Best for
- A free start in a tool everyone knows
- Pricing (checked 5 October 2026)
- Free (3 channels, 10 queued posts each); Essentials $6/channel/mo ($5 billed yearly); Team $12/channel/mo ($10 yearly). 15 channels on Essentials: $80/mo. 14-day trial
- Main strength
- Polish and familiarity. Buffer has been the default scheduler for a decade, the apps are good, and the free plan is enough to try the workflow properly.
- Watch out for
- You pay per channel. At three channels Essentials is $18 a month, cheaper than post bridge; at fifteen it is $80, about twice post bridge’s $39. The free plan’s ten-posts-per-channel queue fills up quickly if you post daily.
- Verdict
- The free answer for a few accounts. Not the cheap answer for many.
3. Publer
publer.com
- What stands out
- The longest platform list here after Postiz — thirteen, including Mastodon, Telegram and WordPress — and per-account pricing at Buffer’s entry level, with every tenth account free. Professional comes with a 7-day trial, Business with 14 days.
- Best for
- Many accounts on a budget, billed yearly
- Pricing (checked 5 October 2026)
- Free (3 accounts, no X, 10 scheduled posts per account); Professional $5/account/mo ($4 billed yearly); Business $10/account/mo ($8 yearly). Every 10th account free
- Main strength
- Flexibility at small and medium sizes. Three accounts cost $15 a month; ten cost $45, because the tenth is free.
- Watch out for
- Fifteen accounts come to $70 a month on monthly billing, well above post bridge. Publer says X costs it enough through X’s API that it only supports X on paid plans. When we last checked, in September, we found an API but no published MCP server.
- Verdict
- A strong pick up to about ten accounts, or if you need Mastodon, Telegram or WordPress.
4. Postiz
postiz.com
- What stands out
- The developer’s alternative. It is open source, so you can run it on your own server, and every hosted plan includes the MCP server, a CLI and the API — the same agent-friendly surface post bridge sells, with the most platforms on this list.
- Best for
- Developers and agent builders who want open source
- Pricing (checked 5 October 2026)
- Free to self-host (open source); hosted Standard $29/mo (5 channels), Team $39/mo (10), Pro $49/mo (30), Ultimate $99/mo. MCP, CLI and API on every plan; 7-day trial
- Main strength
- Control and reach. Nothing here covers more platforms, and nothing else lets you run the whole tool yourself.
- Watch out for
- Hosted, it is not cheaper than post bridge for the same accounts: 15 channels need Pro at $49. Self-hosting means platform API changes, token refreshes and failed publishes are yours to deal with.
- Verdict
- The pick if you want open source or the widest platform list. Not the pick if price is the reason you are leaving.
5. Metricool
metricool.com
- What stands out
- Reporting first. Metricool’s free plan includes a full analytics dashboard and its MCP server, which no other free plan here does. It prices by brand — one business’s set of accounts — rather than by account, so it suits someone managing a few brands.
- Best for
- A free plan with real analytics
- Pricing (checked 5 October 2026)
- Free (1 brand, 20 posts/mo, excludes LinkedIn and X; MCP included); Starter $25/mo ($20 billed yearly, up to 5 brands); Advanced from $53/mo billed yearly. X needs a paid add-on
- Main strength
- Knowing what worked. If post bridge left you publishing without ever seeing the results, Metricool answers that, even for free.
- Watch out for
- The free plan excludes LinkedIn and X, and on paid plans X needs an add-on. The planner is a calendar built around reporting, so writing a post takes more clicks than in post bridge.
- Verdict
- The free pick if analytics matter more than speed of posting.
6. Blotato
www.blotato.com
- What stands out
- Blotato makes the content as well as posting it: AI images, videos and voiceovers, viral templates, and official n8n and Make nodes for automation. The Starter plan covers 20 accounts for $29 — more than post bridge’s 15 for $39.
- Best for
- AI-made content at volume
- Pricing (checked 5 October 2026)
- No free plan; 7-day trial on every plan. Starter $29/mo (20 accounts, 1,250 AI credits); Creator $97/mo (40 accounts); Agency $499/mo
- Main strength
- Output. For someone running many accounts on generated content, the credits and templates replace several separate tools.
- Watch out for
- If you already make your own content, most of the price is for AI you will not use. There is no free plan, and the next tier jumps to $97.
- Verdict
- The pick for automated, AI-made content. Overkill for posting what you already made.
7. KreatorMesh— this is ours; read the verdict with that in mind
kreatormesh.com
- What stands out
- The same ten platforms as post bridge with unlimited posts, plus the work before and after posting: drafts from a voice note or a long video, hook tests that find which openings work on your audience, an evergreen library that reposts what performed, and a link-in-bio page that counts taps. The MCP server has 12 tools and signs in with OAuth.
- Best for
- Short-form video creators who want help deciding what to post, not only posting it
- Pricing (checked 5 October 2026)
- No free plan; 5-day trial. Starter $12/mo (3 accounts); Creator $29/mo (15 accounts, API and MCP); Pro $49/mo (unlimited)
- Main strength
- Price at every size against post bridge: $12 against $39 for three accounts, $29 against $39 for fifteen, $49 for unlimited against $99 for 99.
- Watch out for
- There is no free plan, and the trial needs a card. It does more than post bridge, which means more to learn if distribution is all you want. It is a young product, with a shorter track record than Buffer or post bridge.
- Verdict
- Ours, so weigh this accordingly. The pick if you post short-form video and the hard part is knowing what to post. If distribution is the only job, SocialRobot is the closer swap.
How this list was put together
- Every price was read from the vendor’s own pricing page on 5 October 2026, in a browser, because several of these pages only show their prices once the page has run. Where a vendor shows a yearly price first, both the monthly and the yearly figure are given.
- post bridge’s current plans were read from its pricing page the same day: Marketer $39 a month for 15 accounts and Operator $99 for 99 accounts, then $1 per account. On 19 September 2026 its 15-account plan was $29.
- Platform lists come from our own checks on 19 September 2026. Which tools have an MCP server comes from the vendors’ pricing pages where they state it (post bridge, Postiz, SocialRobot) and from our MCP server comparison for the others.
- The order follows the three reasons people leave post bridge — price, a free plan, wanting more than distribution — not a score. KreatorMesh is ours and is listed last; its weaknesses are stated as plainly as everyone else’s.
How to choose
- You liked post bridge and only the price changed
- SocialRobot Pro: $29 for 20 accounts with X, API and MCP. Blotato is the same price if you also want AI-made content.

- KreatorMesh: hook tests on your own audience, and drafts checked against what they found.
Frequently asked questions
How much does post bridge cost now?
As of 5 October 2026, post bridge’s Marketer plan is $39 a month for 15 accounts and its Operator plan is $99 a month for 99 accounts, then $1 for each extra account. Yearly billing gives two months free, both plans have a 7-day trial, and free users can make 5 posts a month. On 19 September 2026 the 15-account plan was $29.
What is the cheapest post bridge alternative?
It depends on how many accounts you run. For three: KreatorMesh at $12 a month, Publer at $15, Buffer at $18. For fifteen: SocialRobot at $29 (it covers 20 and includes X), Blotato at $29 (20 accounts) and KreatorMesh at $29 — all below post bridge’s $39. Buffer, Publer and Metricool also have free plans.
Is there a free post bridge alternative?
Yes. Buffer is free for three channels, Publer for three accounts without X, SocialRobot for two accounts and 15 posts a month, and Metricool for one brand and 20 posts a month without LinkedIn or X. Postiz is free if you host it on your own server.
Which post bridge alternatives have an MCP server?
Buffer, Metricool, Postiz, Blotato, SocialRobot and KreatorMesh. That means an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT can schedule through them, as it can through post bridge. When we last checked, in September, Publer had an API but no published MCP server.
Which alternative supports the most platforms?
Postiz, with more than thirty, including Reddit, Discord and Slack. Publer is next with thirteen, including Mastodon, Telegram and WordPress. post bridge, Buffer and KreatorMesh cover the mainstream ten or eleven.
Does post bridge have AI features?
It does not draft or analyse content; it is a cross-poster, and says so. If you want a tool that writes, Blotato generates content and KreatorMesh drafts from a voice note or a long video and tests which openings work on your audience.
Can I switch from post bridge without losing anything?
There is nothing to import. Connect your social accounts to the new tool — a couple of clicks each — and post from there. Anything already scheduled in post bridge still goes out from post bridge, so you can run both for a week and move over when you are ready.
Is post bridge still worth it?
For pure distribution it is still the simplest tool here, with unlimited posts, a clean API and an MCP server. What changed is the price: $39 for 15 accounts and $99 for 99. If simplicity matters more than the extra $10 a month, staying is reasonable.
Are these prices current?
Every price was read from the vendor’s own pricing page on 5 October 2026, and the date is shown on each entry. post bridge changed its plans between our September check and this one, which is why we re-checked every tool. If a number looks different on a vendor’s site today, their site is right.
